Beginning today, Monday, April 17, the National Communications Authority (NCA) will remove all unregistered SIM cards from the database of communications network operators.

Sim cards won’t be activated if they haven’t been reregistered with Ghana cards.

According to a mandate given out by the NCA on Thursday, April 13, all disconnected SIMs must be delinked from all databases.

For the avoidance of doubt, this includes SIMs that were barred in November 2022 because they had not finished the SIM registration process in its entirety.

Once more, any SIM cards registered after the cap of 10 per person must be disconnected, deactivated, and deleted by today from all databases.
