Iddrisu Hardi Pagzaa, a former deputy communications officer for the Northern Regional NDC, has been detained by the Tamale District police.

His arrest follows allegations that he assaulted a Dagbon FM radio host last week as they were broadcasting live in Tamale.

According to Citi News, the suspect surrendered to the police on Monday morning.

As investigations continue, his attorney, Saulisu Biawurbe, said they would file for a police inquiry bail.

During a live broadcast, Hardi Pagzaa went to Dagbon FM with some thugs and attacked Sadiq Gariba, a journalist.

Reaching out to the journalist who had been assaulted, Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare promised to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.
