Experienced actress Patience Ozorkwor was honored with the prestigious Industry Merit Award at #AMVCA9 for her outstanding contributions to the industry.

Each year, an actor or actress who has worked in the industry for more than 20 years receives the honorary award presented by MultiChoice through Africa Magic for a lifetime of dedication to the promotion of African cinema.

In response to the honour bestowed upon her, Mama G, as she is affectionately called, exclaimed, “I will die for your love; hatred and those who don’t value me no longer matter.”

Gospel singer, actress, fashion designer, and seasoned musician Patience Ozorkwor is from Nigeria. She won the Best Supporting Actress honor at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards in both 2012 and 2013.
